I am a Reader in Renaissance Literature at Loughborough University in the East Midlands of Engand. My research specialism is early modern literature, including Shakespeare and food culture. I also work on the late medieval period. My latest book was published by Routledge in 2025 and is called Receiving the Stranger in Shakespeare: Hospitality and Hostility in the Plays.
